The mother of the Chairman of the Board of the Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State, Dotun Olaitan, is dead.
According to information available to The Eagle Online, the mother of the eminent broadcaster died in the early hours of Saturday.
The Oyo state Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists has condoled Olaitan on the loss.
The NUJ spoke in a statement signed by its Chairman, Chief Ademola Babalola, and Secretary, Sola Oladapo.

It described the passing of Olaitan’s mother as a painful loss, not only to the family but to all those who knew her kind and caring nature.
It said the deceased was known for her unwavering support for her children and her positive impact on her community.
It said that losing a mother was one of the most profound sorrows a person could experience, encouraging Olaitan to take solace in the memories of her mother’s legacy of love, wisdom, and strength.
The NUJ added: “May the soul of our departed mother rest in perfect peace.
“We pray for God’s comfort and peace to envelop the family in this time.”
