The Bauchi State Governor and gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Saturday’s governorship election, Bala Mohammed, has been declared winner of the poll.
He defeated the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, retired Air Marshall Saddique Abubakar, and others.
Mohammed won the election with a total of 525,281 votes and victory in 15 out of the 20 local government areas in the state.
Abubakar scored 432,272 votes and emerged victorious in five LGAs.
