The News Agency of Nigeria reports that Barau spoke at the ceremony marking the inauguration of the  scholarship offer at Bayero University Kano on Sunday.

He said that the scholarship programme was aimed at enhancing educational development and promote higher education in the country.

He said, “I don’t know anyone of you here. I want this programme to be based on credibility, and I wish you good luck.”

According to Jubril, the foundation’s initiative is designed to support the students and promote educational development in Nigeria.
