R&B sensation, Banky Wellington, on Monday alerted the people to fake application form circulating on how to join his E.M.E. record label.
The musician, popularly called Banky W, gave the alert in his Instagram page monitored by the News Agency of Nigeria in Lagos.
He said the purported form was a scam meant to defraud unsuspecting members of the public.
Banky W therefore advised the people not to fall prey to dubious means.
He wrote: “This label form is a complete scam. There is no application form or fee to join EME or any real record label, anywhere.
“Don’t fall for it. And please don’t pay any money.”
Banky W admonished the scammers to change their ways and turn a new leaf.
