Ahead of unveiling his agenda for the banking sector on Thursday, the new Central Bank of Nigeria Governor, Godwin Emefiele, on Wednesday met with President Goodluck Jonathan at the State House.
Emefiele resumed on Monday having been previously screened and cleared by the Senate.
He is expected to unfold his agenda on Thursday.
The CBN Governor was meeting the President officially for the first time and it lasted for about one hour behind closed doors.
Emefiele however declined to speak with State House correspondents when approached after the meeting.
He succeeds Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, who was unceremoniously eased out of office by suspension anchored on financial recklessness.
