The Western Nigeria Security Network, popularly known as Amotekun Corps, in Osun State has arrested a female, 31, alleged to have duped many people in Lagos and other states posing as a bank manager.
The Amotekun Corps Commander in Osun, Dr. Omoyele Adekunle, made this known to newsmen on Tuesday in Osogbo.
He spoke shortly after the parade of the woman and six other suspects arrested over alleged involvement in various crimes.
Adekunle said the personnel of the corps arrested the fake bank manager at 2:45pm on October 19 in Osogbo, following a petition by one Fatai Saheed, who was allegedly duped of N4.5 million.
He said the other six suspects, between the ages of 18 and 37, were arrested for alleged crimes, including stealing an unregistered Bajaj motorcycle, obtaining money on false pretences, and duping PoS operators.
The Amotekun Commander said that the suspects would be handed over to the appropriate authority for prosecution.

Adekunle reassured the public that under his leadership, the corps would work assiduously to minimise crime in the state.
He said that available human and material assets of the corps would be deployed to enhance security of lives and properties in the state.
