Bandits kidnap 27 in Taraba

No fewer than 27 persons have been kidnapped on Wukari-Takum Expressway in Taraba State by gunmen.

The incident, which occurred on Thursday, was confirmed by the spokesman of the Taraba State Police Command, David Misal.

According to available information, the passengers, who were returning from the wedding ceremony of one of them, travelled in an 18-seater bus.

The bus was used by the gunmen in whisking them away.

Misal said investigation into the incident had commenced.
