The kidnappers of the Chairman of Ejigbo Local Council Development Area, Kehinde Bamigbetan, have demanded a ransom of $1 million.
Going by the exchange rate of N160 to $1, this translates to N160 million.
According to a report monitored on Ray Power radio, a man, who claimed to have also been a victim of the kidnappers, delivered the message to Bamigbetan’s family.
The man said he was in the kidnappers’ den for four days and that his family had to part with N400,000 to secure his release.
The police in Lagos State, however, do not believe the story of the alleged victim.
Bamigbetan was kidnapped on Monday at about 11pm while on his was home in Egbe area of Lagos State
