Ex-Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State is planning a grand official declaration for the state governorship race on April 4, 2013.
A close aide of the Afao-Ekiti, Ekiti State born popular politician, disclosed that all is now set for the official declaration of the ex-governor.
It was learnt that invitation cards have already gone round the country requesting for the presence of eminent Peoples Democratic Party members at the event that is billed to be one of the greatest events that has ever happened in Ado Ekiti, the state capital.
Over 10,000 guests are expected at the venue.
Among those expected are President Goodluck Jonathan and the National Chairman of the PDP, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur.
They will lead other eminent party leaders, including former Olusegun Obasanjo, retired General Ibrahim Babaginda,Vice President Namadi Sambo and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, to the venue of the declaration.
Governors elected on the platform of the party, senators, members of the House of Representatives and ministers are also all billed to attend the event.
Fayose and all the invited guests are said to be taking the declaration seriously to demonstrate PDP’s readiness to win the governorship election in Ekiti State in 2014.
