The Ondo State Reconciliation Committee constituted by the South West chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party on Thursday submitted divergent reports at the party’s South West office in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital. The reports of the committee, which was submitted in two different bound copies by its Chairman, Ambassador Toye Olofintuyi, was unlike those from other states in the zone. The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a Lebanese for orchestrating the kidnap of his aunt and demanding a ransom of N100 million. The suspect, Mohammed Dannawi, told journalists that he planned the kidnapped of his 61-year-old aunt, Essa Dannawi, not because of the ransom, but because he wanted to punish her just as she had punished him and his wife. Dannawi however would not state how Essa punished him and his wife, to have warranted the kidnapping of his aunt. The Federal Capital Territory Administration has established a Technical Committee on Community Based Health Insurance Scheme in order to ensure affordable access to healthcare services in rural communities in the territory. There are currently 861 communities in the six Area Councils of the FCT.
