Last Friday the United States Government released a damning human rights report on Nigeria, saying “grave violations of human rights” continued to increase in 2017 while officials who perpetrated them were never prosecuted by the Federal Government of President Muhammadu Buhari. It also said, inter alia, that Nigeria is suffering from “ethnic, religious and regional violence”. This is the bitter truth and the report is a welcome development. Ethnic cleansing, genocide, mass murder, state-sponsored terror, unprecedented corruption, monumental incompetence, the persecution of opposition figures and their families, the violation of court orders, the intimidation of the National Assembly, the Judiciary…

What is going on there are not clashes but carefully orchestrated mass murder, ethnic cleansing and genocide of the indigenous Christian population by well-armed and well-supplied Muslim Fulani militias, which are being supported and funded by very powerful people
Chief S.L. Akintola, his bitter political rival and the second Premier of the Western Region, also lost his first daughter in the early 60′s and a few years later lost his third and youngest son. His second son was also cut short in his prime a number of years later.
His morning address was shallow, insensitive, uninspiring and divisive and, judging from what I saw, I believe that he should resign, go home and take care of his health
It appears that we are all under a spell. This enchantment is so deep and powerful that no-one even complains about what is nothing less than a brutal rape and sacrilegious assault on our collective psyche and national sensibilities?
What those that continuosly threaten others with violence and carnage fail to appreciate is as follows: for every mujahadeen there is a crusader. For every tyrant there is a deliverer. For every oppressor there is a freedom fighter. For every globalist there is a nationalist
Delusion is a terrible affliction and treating those that have won the hearts and minds of millions of Igbo youth in our country with contempt and disdain will prove to be a costly mistake for the Buhari administration
In a society that is mired in deceit and fear and that wallows in intellectual barrenness, abject poverty, social deviancy, spiritual harlotry, debilitating bondage and racial, religious and regional hegemony and discrimination, northern politicians flourish whilst their counterparts from the South live in fear and trepidation and remain in subjugation, never achieving their full potentials
T.B. Joshua’s crime was that he knew too much and that he was secretly exposing their plans to those that cared for Jonathan. He needed to be discredited, stopped, “kept busy”, rubbished or permanently silenced
The motive for the attack was to silence and discredit Joshua who, by that time, had become a thorn in the flesh of many within the corridors of power simply because he was exposing the deepest secrets about what was going on in the country and those who were covertly working against former President Goodluck Jonathan
Most important of all we must find it in our hearts to display and express a high degree of regret and contrition for what we did to the Igbo, pay them compensation and make restitution for what we subjected them to before, during and after the civil war. God demands it and justice requires it
I write it as the voice of the voiceless, the servant of truth and for those that cannot speak for themselves because they are either dead and buried or because they do not have the skill, the reach or the wherewithal to do so
For example it appears very strange to me that every time the Buhari administration has major issues and they need a distraction a new batch of Chibok girls are suddenly released
The truth is that President Muhammadu Buhari, his evil administration and those that they represent are venal and malevolent. They have been rejected by the Living God
We pray for our President: that God will forgive him of his many sins, grant him good health and spare his life but we also warn those that are planning to harm our people to sheath their swords before they set off a chain of events that will cause an unprecedented, historic and massive conflagration on the African continent, the likes of which have never been seen before
The International Terror Index has described Nigeria’s Boko Haram and Fulani Militias as the first and fourth “deadliest terrorist organisations in the world” respectively
Such impunity and callousness has rarely been seen in the annals of world history. Not even Hitler’s Nazis that gassed 6 million innocent Jews and Gypsies to death in concentration camps during the Second World War spoke with such pride and joy about their sheer barbarism and horrendous atrocities either at the Nuremberg Tribunals where they were put on trial or at any other time after the conclusion of the war
And neither can he compare himself to the great Halidu Hananiya, who retired as a Major General in the Nigerian Army and yet who proudly wore the uniform of the Federal Road Safety Corps after being appointed as the head of that agency
May the Lord of Hosts forgive Nigeria for what she has done to so many of her ethnic nationalities and her own sons and daughters
As each day passes, more and more people from all over the country are doubting the continued viability of our forced union.
They are also questioning the wisdom and expediency of the 1914 amalgamation and “arranged marriage” of what were originally the northern and southern protectorates of Nigeria by Lord Frederick Lugard and our erstwhile British colonial masters
