The 233 Battalion, 27 Task Force Brigade, Operation Lafiya Dole, has arrested two fleeing suspected Boko Haram insurgents in Sasawa village, Yobe.
A statement issued in Damaturu on Wednesday by Capt. George Okupe, the Brigade spokesman, said Kiri Imoru and Tijjani Goni were arrested fleeing the insurgents hideout.
The statement stated: “The two terrorists claimed to escape from a hideout at Futchumaram in Geidam Local Government Area.”
The statement also said the 159 Battalion of the Task Force has immunized 1,227 children against polio in 13 villages in Yunusari Local Government Area of Yobe.
It said the immunization exercise was in addition to medical aid provided by the brigade to various communities under its community service scheme.
