The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on Tuesday arrested of a former Governor of Sokoto State, Attahiru Bafarawa in connection with the ongoing arms purchase probe.
Over $2.9 billion is said to be involved in the arms purchase deal.
Barafawa, it was gathered, was arrested early on Tuesday.
As earlier report by The Eagle Online, the former Chairman of Daar Communications, High Chief Raymond Dokpesi, has equally been picked up by operatives of the EFCC.
Dokpesi was arrested about midday on Tuesday.
This came after a former National Security Adviser, retired Colonel Sambo Dasuki, was whisked to the headquarters of the Department of State Services in connection with the arms deal also.
Dasuki had been under house arrest in his Abuja home since November 4.
