Two buses conveying people with arms and ammunition were on Saturday intercepted in Ebonyi State by the State Police Command.
The buses were said to have been intercepted close to Onu-Ebonyi Bridge on the Abakaliki-Ogoja Federal Highway in Izzi Local Government Area of the state.
The occupants included seven “suspected Fulani herdsmen” allegedly on their way to Taraba State.
Military uniforms were allegedly found in their luggage.
The development was confirmed by the spokesman of the Ebonyi State Police Command, Loveth Odah.
Odah said: “Yes, we intercepted buses carrying some persons with arms and ammunition going to Taraba, but they are not herdsmen, they are Nollywood actors.
“They were wearing army uniforms and we are investigating the matter.
“I will give details of the matter as soon as we got every detail.”
