Protesters, angered by an anti-Islam film, stormed the Embassy of the United States of America in Sanaa, Yemen, on Thursday.
However, unlike the attack on the Benghazi embassy of the US in Libya, which resulted in the death of Ambassador J. Stevens and three other staff, no one was hurt in the attack on the Yemeni embassy.
“All embassy personnel are safe and accounted for,” spokesman of the US Yemeni embassy, Lou Fintor, said.
Yemeni President, Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi, has apologised to President Barack Obama over the attack.
Hadi has also ordered an investigation into the attack.
The flag of the United States of America was burnt during the attack on the Embassy.
