The Super Eagles will not lack adequate support when they take on the Wasp of Rwanda on Wednesday in an African Nations Cup qualifiers.
This is because members of the Nigeria Football Supporters Club, who did not make the trip on Monday to Kigali aboard a chartered Rwanda Air are on the verge of perfecting an alternative travelling arrangement to the venue of the match.
Led by Dr. Rafiu Ladipo, the President General, members of the supporters club arrived Lagos from Abuja in the early hours of Tuesday to obtain tickets to fly on Ethiopian Airline.
“Dr. Ladipo and others who could not make the trip via the chattered flight are in Lagos to fly Ethiopian Air to Kigali. They will surely arrive Kigali well ahead of the match to mobilise Nigerians living in Kigali for the match,” said our source.
The spokesman of the Nigeria Football Federation, Ademola Olajire, had earlier explained that Ladipo and other stakeholders could not make the trip because the airline was in a haste to leave Nigeria.
“Members of the Supporters Club were left behind as the pilot made a quick get-away before closure of the Abuja airspace,” Olajire stated.
