Speculations over the future of out favour Nigerian international, Peter Osaze Odemwingie, in West Brom was laid to rest on Thursday.
The sporting and technical director of the English Premier League side, Richard Garlick, confirmed that there was an offer from Queens Park Rangers for the services of Odemwingie, but it was turned down.
‘Garlick said: ‘We don’t have to sell any of our players.
“It’s only on our terms.
“It’s well documented about Peter.
“We had an offer and we don’t intend to sell any of our players.
”When an offer comes in, we speak to the player out of courtesy.
“We’ve had that chat with Peter and he knows the situation.”
Odemwingie, 31, is also being coveted by Newcastle United as a replacement for Demba Ba, who recently moved to Chelsea.
Valued at 5.5 million euros by transfer market experts, the Super Eagles player is unlikely to leave the Baggies this winter.
The former Insurance of Benin striker was left out of Nigeria’s squad to the ongoing African Cup of Nations in South Africa.
