FIFA technical advisor, Chief Adegboye Onigbinde, has chided the leadership of the Nigeria Football Federation over claims that he had not resigned his membership of the Technical Committee.
Onigbinde, who spoke with The Eagle Online, said that there was no going back on his decision to quit the NFF Technical Committee.
“I was told that they (NFF) said I have not resigned that even if I resign, they will not accept my resignation. This is laughable. I have resigned and no going back,” he said.
Speaking further, the former Super Eagles coach lamented that administrative and not technical issue is the bane of the game in the country.
“It is only Nigeria that is not developing the game, which is the cardinal objective of even FIFA. We should learn from Zambia if we are to regain our lost glory in football,” he said.
The 75-year-old soccer technocrat said he took the decision to resign when it was obvious his contributions are not being given consideration.
It is recalled that days after his widely publicised resignation, the NFF listed the Modakeke high chief as one of the instructors for the CAF B licence Coaching Course.
