NPL: Kwara United boss eyes glory

 

 

The acting Chairman of the Nigeria Premier League (NPL) side, Kwara United, Toyin Olokooba, says he is optimistic of a glorious outing of the Ilorin-based outfit at the end of the ongoing season.

 

Olokooba who is also the Special Adviser on sports to the Kwara State Governor, Abdulfatai Ahmed, told The Eagle online that all necessary machineries have been put in motion to ensure that the club accomplishes its set goal this season.

 

 

“I am very optimistic that Kwara United will finish among the best teams at the end of the season. We have had adequate preparation and all the needed support is being received from the Kwara State government for us to achieve our goal this season,” he said.

 

The Kwara United boss stated further that the entire team has put behind it what he termed as unfortunate home draw with Ocean Boys in the season opener inside the Ilorin Township Stadium.

 

“It was unfortunate we drew at home with Ocean Boys but I want to assure our teeming fans that Kwara United will not let them down. The league is a marathon,” he said.

 

Olokooba, who previously served as a member of the management board of the club, said further that the club has the best assemblage of players who are ready to excel.

This weekend, players of Kwara United will do battle against the NPL defending champions, Dolphins FC of Port Harcourt, inside the Ilorin Township Stadium.
