The commandant, Armed Forces Command and Staff College, Jaji, Air Vice Marshall Abdullahi Kure; and the Corps Commander Infantry, Jaji, Major General Mohammed Isa, have been redeployed by the Defence Headquarters.
The redeployment of Kure and Isa is coming less than one week after two bombs went off inside the school’s premises.
A statement by the spokesman of the Defence Headquarters, Colonel M. M. Yerima, confirmed this development.
Yerima said further in the statement: “Air Vice Marshal EE Osim is to replace Air Vice Marshal IA Kure as Commandant Armed Forces Command and Staff College (AFCSC) while Maj Gen KC Osuji will act as Corps Commander, Infantry, Jaji.”
Yerima explained that the redeployment is a fallout of “an inquiry raised by defence headquarters to unravel the circumstances that led to the bomb explosion which rocked Saint Andrew’s protestant church at the Jaji Military Command in Kaduna state last week.
“Air Vice Marshall Kure and Major-General Isa will be redeployed by their respective services.”
