Labaran Maku, the All Progressives Grand Alliance governorship candidate in the April 11 election in Nasarawa State, has vowed to challenge the judgment of State Election Petitions Tribunal.
The tribunal upheld the victory of Governor Umaru Al-Makura of the All Progressives Congress.
Maku told the News Agency of Nigeria in Lafia on Monday, “We have already obtained the judgment.
“We would study it critically and proceed to the Appeal Court within the stipulated time.
“I am already consulting with my legal team, supporters and other political associates on the next line of action.”
Maku described the judgment as “judicial endorsement of daylight robbery and rape on democracy”.
He said he would not relent in its efforts to reclaim his mandate until he gets to the last stage of the struggle.
NAN recalls that the tribunal had on the September 30 dismissed Maku’s petition for lack of merit and upheld Al-Makura’s victory.
