Some residents of Lagos State have been advised to relocate as more downpour is expected in the next two weeks.
The state government said that residents of low land areas need to relocate as the flood level is expected to rise with the downpour.
The state Commissioner for the Environment, Mr. Tunji Bello, said that it was in the interest of such people to vacate their homes for now.
The rain is expected to be heavy in the next two weeks and susceptible low land areas include Etiosa, Amukoko and Ajegunle.
Residents of the area were advised to move to higher grounds to avoid deaths, injuries and flooding.
An all night rain from Wednesday till Thursday morning, which lasted for more than 12 hours, led to flooding in most parts of the state.
Experts have predicted 236 days of rain in Lagos State this year.
