The Katsina Emirate Council has expressed shock over the death of Alhaji Ibrahim Coomassie, the Chairman, Arewa Consultative Forum.
Coomassie was the ‘Sardaunan Katsina’, a traditional title in the emirate, and a former Inspector-General of Police.
The Secretary of the council, Alhaji Bello Ifo, said that Coomassie’s death was a great loss to the nation.
He said that Sardauna was a trustworthy and honest person.
Coomassie died at the age of 76 in Katsina on Thursday evening after a protracted illness.
He will be buried on Friday after Jumaat prayer.
