West Brom’s record £10 million signing, Brown Ideye, hit the ground running for The Baggies with two goals in a behind closed doors friendly with Nottingham Forest.
Ideye completed an hour of action for the second string and it was also a chance for Alan Irvine to look at other members of his squad.
The Super Eagles’ goal poacher said he is determined to score more goal for the The Baggies when the English Premier League season finally kicks off.
“Right now I’m here and it’s all about working, working, working,” he told the club’s official website.
Ideye’s fellow new signing, Jason Davidson, also took to the pitch and stated after the game: “Great to get 60 minutes under my belt today with the U21s.
“Working hard and getting stronger day by day.”
