A high profile member of dreaded sect, Boko Haram, Habeeb Bama, has been captured.
Bama was reportedly captured in a shootout with soldiers of the Joint Task Force in Yobe State.
Informed sources said the manhunt for Bama had been on for months until intelligence gathering traced him to Yobe State.
He is believed to be the mastermind of the major bombings Boko Haram has carried out since it began operation in 2009.
Among bombings said to have been carried out under the direct supervision of Bama were those of the United Nations building in Abuja; the Louis Edet Police Headquarters House, Abuja; the Sani Abacha Barracks, Abuja; and the Catholic Church in Madalla, Niger State.
