The Federal Government is set to complete the demarcation of boundaries between Benue and Ebonyi as well as Niger and the Federal Capital Territory.
Dr Mohammad Ahmad, Director General, National Boundary Commission, made this known in a statement signed by Kabir Isa, Information Officer, NBC, on Friday in Abuja.
Ahmad said that the completion of the demarcation was in a bid to ensure peaceful co-existence among communities of the border corridors.
He said it had become necessary to re-establish the boundary between Niger State and the FCT as enshrined in the constitution and show physically the lines bordering the territory”.
He, however, cautioned that the FG had called for the suspension of all developments along the boundary lines, until proper demarcation is established.
