Forte Oil Plc, owned by billionaire businessman, Femi Otedola, has denied reducing the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit, popularly known as petrol.
The reaction of Forte Oil, which has Otedola as Chairman, was sequel to the news making the rounds that it had reduced the cost of petrol to N115 from N145.
In the reaction on its Twitter handle, @ForteOilNg, the company wrote: “Our attention has been drawn to a reduction in price to 115 NGN at our gas stations, This is false.
“Forte Oil Plc would use its official handles to inform its customers and the buying public of any price change.
“We therefore inform our customers and the buying public to ignore these false rumours as they are untrue and we disassociate ourselves from same.”
