Super Eagles’ stand-in captain and goalkeeper, Vincent Enyeama, has declared that the bonus row will resume after the Confederation Cup.
“I don’t like to discuss the issue”, he began when the expected question on the bonus war, which almost disrupted the organisation of the Confederation Cup, was thrown at him.
“This issue ought not to have gone out to the press.
“We thought we could manage it internally, but it has exploded.
“Anyway, the issue has not been resolved.
“We are coming back to it after this competition.”
However, Enyeama did not believe the bonus row had presented the country in bad light.
The Israel-based goal tender said that the players just resolved to put the issue of bonus behind them now and move on.
“We are responsible for our action and shall revisit the issue after the Confederation Cup,” he said.
Similarly, the national team’s Head Coach, Stephen Keshi, opined that it depended on the way anyone is looking at the issue.
Keshi, however, said his team had come to Brazil to make Africa proud.
