The police in Borno State has confirmed the razing of a school, Gomari Costain Primary School, Maiduguri, in the wee hours of Tuesday.
The spokesperson of the Borno State Police Command, Samuel Tizhe, confirmed the burning of the school.
Tuzhe said: “We have started investigation but no arrest made yet.”
The suspicion is that members of Boko Haram set the school on fire.
On Monday, a section of the Maiduguri Experimental School, Kwanar Yobe, was also razed.
Two other schools – Budum and Kulo Gomna Primary Schools and Abba Ganaram Primary School, both in Maiduguri – have also been set ablaze.
