The Feberesima Ibinabo-led administration of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, which was sworn on September 29, 2012 in Lagos State, held its first National Executive Committee meeting recently.
At the meeting, some resolutions were taken. The NEC ordered the immediate commencement of an health insurance scheme for its members across the state chapters all over Nigeria.
Also, the executives of Abuja and Edo State chapters were dissolved after their tenures expired.
In place of the dissolved executives, sole administrators were appointed for the chapters.
Pastor Sydney Diala was appointed for Abuja chapter while Osawe Eweka was appointed for Edo State chapter.
Other resolutions reached were the stopping of registration and revalidation of members with immediate effect, the dissolution of Abuja and Edo State chapters of AGN electoral committees and the announcement of AGN interstate cultural and sports competition, which comes up soon.
