The Federal Government on Wednesday said it stands on the position of the National Youth Service Corps on the certificate of exemption scandal involving the Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun.
The position of the Federal Government was stated on Wednesday by the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed.
Mohammed, who spoke with newsmen after the Federal Executive Council meeting presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari, said there was nothing more to add to what the NYSC had said.
He said: “The government has spoken.
“NYSC is part of government and I have nothing to add to what the NYSC has said.”
The Management of the NYSC had in a statement confirmed it received an application from Adeosun for a certificate of exemption.
It, however, said it was looking into how she obtained the certificate.
