Billionaire businessman, Femi Otedola, has agreed to fly the flag of the Peoples Democratic Party for the governorship race in Lagos State.
Publisher of Ovation magazine, Dele Momodu, disclosed this in a tweet on Tuesday.
Momodu, in the tweet linked to his online newspaper, The Boss, said the party made the offer to Otedola and he had accepted.
Otedola is Chairman/CEO of Forte Oil.
There had been speculations that Otedola will run for the Lagos State governorship poll.
He had, however, disputed this.
At a point, he embarked on a bus ride with the Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, which seemed to have put to rest the issue of his running in 2019.
Ambode is one of the two governorship aspirants on the platform of the All Progressives Congress for next year’s election.
