The Akarigbo and Paramount ruler of Remoland, His Royal Majesty Babatunde Adewale Ajayi, will on October 30, 2018 host the crème de la crème of Nigeria’s business community, especially seasoned professionals and businessmen and women, who over the years have vividly demonstrated an unfettered passion for the growth of Remo and its people, to the inaugural ceremony of the Akarigbo Corporate Council.
The event will also have presentation of awards to distinguished corporate citizens of Remoland.
Top in the list of multinationals situated in Remoland to be honored include Nestle Plc, Lafarge/Holcin, Coleman Wire & Cable, Eternal Oil, Main One and SAB Miller.
The event is expected to be attended by other royal fathers in the land, citizens of Remoland home and in the Diaspora, and captains of industry in and around Remoland. It starts by 12:30pm and will take place at the prestigious Radisson Blu Hotel in GRA Ikeja, Lagos.
It is packaged by eminent sons and corporate giants from Remoland.
They include Tola Mobolurin, Wole Ogunsanya, Seni Adetu, Femi Odumabu, Odubunmi Solarin, Sesan Oluwasanya and Gbenga Adebayo-Daniel.
According to the organisers of the event, Remo Growth and Development Foundation, the occasion is part of the goals set out about a year ago when King Adewale Ajayi was coronated.
At his inauguration, he promised to make Remoland an attractive investors delight and centre of industrial activities in Nigeria.
Six months ago, His Royal Majesty in consultation with Remo Traditional Council set up a structure called Remo Growth and Development Foundation and charged the members with the mandate: to provide a blue print for the socio-economic development of Remoland with short, medium, and long-term horizons, craft a vision for the planned development of Remoland; create a development MASTERPLAN that will place Remo in an enviable position in Ogun state, South-West Nigeria, Nigeria and Worldwide etc.
The inauguration of the Akarigbo Corporate Council and the Remo Distinguished Corporate Citizens Award ceremony therefore are parts of his initiatives at reinforcing his desire for the socioeconomic growth of Remoland and ensuring the mandate to make Remoland investment haven comes to fruition.
On October 25, the Remo Growth and Development Foundation in conjunction with the Remo Traditional Council formally held the investiture ceremony of the Akarigbo and Remo Royal fathers as Grand Patron and patrons of Remo Growth and Development Foundation, while Board of Trustees were also inaugurated.
Members of the executive committee and heads of directorates for the RemoGDF inaugurated at the Thursday event included the Chairman, Otunba Tunji Lawal-Solarin; Co-Chairman, Aare Kola Oyefeso; Head Agriculture Development Directorate, Prof. Kola Adebayo; Heritage and Culture, Oba Adewale Osiberu; Education and Technology, Prof. Adewale Solarin and many eminent personalities heading highly important directorates.
The ceremony took place at the palace of the Akarigbo in Shagamu, Ogun State, Nigeria.
