Governor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State has directed the Caretaker Committee Chairmen in all the 33 local government councils in the state to commence the recruitment of teachers and other categories of workers.
The governor gave the directive while addressing members of the All Progressives Congress Youth League and the Ajimobi Youth Forum from all the local councils who visited him.
Ajimobi said that this was part of his administration’s efforts at reducing youth unemployment in the state.
“This administration would soon commence distribution of raw food items to the people of the state in order to cushion the effect of poverty and hunger,” he said.
The governor, who reiterated his determination to ensure even distribution of the dividends of democracy, called on youths to support his administration.
The state APC Youth Leader, Ambali Abiodun, said the rally was aimed at demonstrating support for the Ajimobi administration.
The State Coordinator of Ajimobi Youth Forum, Alhaji Akeem Adeniran, in his own remarks, commended Ajimobi over his achievements.
