Africa Independent Television has been rewarded for its consistency in televising live matches in the just concluded Archdiocesan board of lectors award ceremony held in Abuja.
The event which was graced by both clergy and lay faithful saw some lectors scooping the awards for their role and dedication over the years.
According to the president of the board, Christopher Agoha, who stated that transparency was key in selecting the winners and urged the awardees to continue to strive to do more so as to justify the award.
Agoha also enumerated the achievements of the last executives of the board which include:  production of a uniform for the board, establishment of a secretariat, creation of new deaneries to bring the board closer to outstations and introduction of novena for lectors to boost the spiritual life of the lectors among others.
He also called on all and sundry to support financially to the upkeep of financially incapacitated out stations and further urged the awardees to remain steadfast in their calling.
The Eagle Online reports that this is the second edition ceremony of the board and veteran broadcaster, Paulyn Owhievbie Ugbodaga of AIT, was awarded as well as Emmanuel Odu of Catholic Television of Nigeria, who is also the anchor of Light of the Nation on AIT.
