Deepak Strivastava, the Chief Operating Officer of Airtel Nigeria, disclosed that the company, boosted by its quality service, has grown to become the fourth largest telecommunications outfit in the world operating in 20 countries across the world.
“We have started the journey of transformation of telecom services in Nigeria. Airtel has the least congested network in Nigeria. We are the first to introduce high definition HD voice service in Nigeria, we have the largest 3.75g and it is rolled out nationally across Nigeria,” Strivastava said.
The Airtel boss said further that the data traffic on the company’s network has grown by 800 per cent in the last two years as it has changed the perspective of telecoms services.
Also speaking during the ceremony, which the company used to launch its campaign of having covered the entire country, the new CEO disclosed that Airtel is the only telecoms service provider in Nigeria listed in the top 100 global brand.
Ogunsanya said that with its services in 17 African countries and three outside the continent, Airtel is now the fourth in the world and number one in Nigeria.
