The Kwara State Governor, Dr. Abdulfatah Ahmed, has reiterated his administration’s continuous willingness to collaborate with the state’s traditional council and other stakeholders in his determined effort to enhance quality of life for the various communities in the state.
Ahmed described the state’s traditional institution, under the chairmanship of the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Zulu-Gambari, as a major factor of unity, peace and harmony, just as he pledged his support to further ensure growth in their respective communities.
Ahmed made these assertions in his congratulatory message to the Emir of Ilorin on the occasion of the 17th anniversary of his installation as the 11th Emir.
Ahmed, in the statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Alhaji Abdulwahab Oba, noted that the reign of the Emir of Ilorin has ushered in tremendous development not only to the Ilorin Emirate, but Kwara State at large.
Ahmed said he was particularly elated to be associated with such an Emir of high integrity with unquantifiable love for the state and its people.
“As the chairman of the state’s traditional council, the Maimartaba Ilory has placed his wealth of experience as an eminent jurist and full-fledged royalty at the disposal of the emirate and the state since he assumed the exalted thrown of his forbearers, even as he plays the role of the father of all very profoundly,” the governor said.
He described the Emir as a veritable pillar of stability and monumental source of strength to his administration and the good people of the state.
“As a government, we cannot overlook the roles played by Your Royal Highness in complementing our efforts towards building a new, vibrant and promising Kwara for the good of our people,” Ahmed said.
While assuring the Emir and, indeed, the state’s traditional council that his administration would remain positively disposed to programmes and policies that would enhance the quality of life of the people of the state, the governor prayed Allah to grant the Emir sound health, long life and immense wisdom to continue to preside over Ilorin Emirate and the traditional institutions in the state.
