The National Working Committee of People’s Trust led by Dr Olisa Agbakoba has announced Saturday as the date of its first ever convention.
The National Secretary of the party, Malam Naseer Kura, said this in a statement made available to newsmen in Lagos on Thursday.
Kura said the convention, with the theme: “Birthing a New Democratic Nigeria by Third Force Intervention,” would be held at Airport Hotel, Ikeja Lagos.
He said that Nobel Laureate, Prof. Wole Soyinka, Convener of the Bring Back of Our Girls Movement, Oby Ezekwesili, Abdul Jelili Tafawa Balewa, among others were expected at the convention.
Kura said accreditation of all members would begin on Friday, promising that the convention would be a historic programme.
Peoples Trust is a new mega party adopted by Nigeria Intervention Movement, NIM, a platform popularly acclaimed as the biggest political movement of fresh breed leaders of the third force movement in the country.
