Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen, has been ruled out of Tuesday’s AFCON 2021 qualifier against Sierra Leone.
Osimhen, according to the national team media officer, Babafemi Raji, has thus left camp.
This was said to be as a result of a dislocated shoulder in the first leg last Friday in Benin City, Edo State.
Raji said: “Osimhen has been excused and has left camp after an MRI scan on his shoulder.
“Though, the injury is not as serious as we thought, but it is better not risk or aggravate it.
“We wish speedy recovery and we’ll be looking forward to have him back in the team as soon as possible.”
Osimhen broke his shoulder in four-all draw against Sierra Leone last Friday.
He is likely to return to his base in Italy for further treatments and rehabilitation.
