The Chairman of the only privately owned Premier League Club, Abubakar Bukola Saraki Football Club, Alhaji Abdul Adama, has been nominated for the 3rd African Credibility Gold Award 2012 by Platinum Standard Publications Limited.
According to the letter of nomination signed by the Secretary of the Organising Team, Samuel Edoghotu, nominations into the African Credibility Gold Award 2012 was introduced to recognise and celebrate great Africans from public/private sector and in all fields.
The letter addressed to Adama reads: “Having recognised your outstanding contributions, achievements and selfless services towards humanity and nation building in Nigeria, promotion of African culture, growth, peace and unity, through poverty eradication, unemployment reduction, people orientation/impartation and food security, I am glad to inform you about your endorsement as one of those to be honoured with the 3rd African Credibility Gold Award.”
The prestigious award will be held on July 7, 2012, at the Nigeria National Merit Award House, Maitama, Abuja, by 6pm, with the Deputy Governor of Sokoto State, Barrister Mukhtar Shehu Shagari, CFR, as the chairman.
Adama is the founder of Bukola Babes FC, now Abubakar Bukola Saraki Football Club, of Ilorin.
