The Human Capital Development enthusiast bagged the award as the outstanding Social Media influencer in the state for his contributions in journalism (New Media) development and leadership.
In his acceptance speech, the Media Strategist, thanking the institution for the award, said relentless effort is key to socio-economic development.
He said: “I am thankful for this honour and will continue to do my best in serving the state in every area possible.
“I have always learnt that consistency in self-development cannot be over emphasized.
“New Media, also known as social media, has provided several platforms for us to showcase the good works of His Excellency, Dr. Kayode Fayemi’s administration in Ekiti State.”
Speaking on the vital role his office plays in development programmes of the state, the crusader of good governance said he will continue to work hard to deliver sustainable communication channels through which the government conveys its activities to the good people of Ekiti State.
Aborisade said: “I will continue to serve in every capacity to uphold the ideals of this state in line with the five pillars of Governor Fayemi’s administration, which are Governance, Knowledge Economy, Social Investment, Infrastructural Development, Agricultural and Rural Development.”
Aborisade commended the IIJ for putting up such event and pledged his unending loyalty to the institute.
He said: “I feel like I am home whenever I come around here.
“Truly, this is centre that equips and launches potentials of the state towards development.
“IIJ remains a hub of knowledge and a place that nurtures future journalists who will carry out their duties with dignity and conscience.
“I am eternally grateful for the honour.”
Dignitaries present at the event include the Commissioner for Information, Aare Muyiwa Olumiluwa (also a recipient); Special Adviser to the Speaker, Ekiti State House of Assembly, Akogun Tai Oguntayo (also recipient); chairmanship aspirant for Ado-Ekiti Local Government, Fajuyi Omotunde; Nigeria Union of Journalists, Ekiti State Chairman, Lion Rotimi Ojomoyela; Special Assistant on Special Duties, Kemi Ajibola; and Director Arts and Culture, Ekiti State, Ambassador Wale Ojo-Lanre.
