The Nigerian Ports Authority on Wednesday said 86 ships carrying various products would sail into the Lagos ports between May 15 and June 5.
The NPA disclosed this in its daily publication, “Shipping Position”, released in Lagos.
It said that the ships were laden with petroleum products, bulk fertiliser, new and used vehicles, rice and frozen fish.
According to the document, some of the ships are also carrying steel products, bulk salt, general cargo, bulk sugar, bulk gypsum, bulk wheat, containerised goods, palmolein and crude palm-oil.
The document said that three ships were waiting to berth and discharge bulk wheat, frozen fish and bulk fertiliser at Josepdam Terminal, Apapa Bulk Terminal Limited and ENL Consortium Limited.
It reported that 16 fuel laden ships were also waiting to discharge kerosene, petrol, diesel, base oil and aviation fuel.
NPA said the fuel-laden ships were waiting berth at Single Buoy Mooring, Apapa Bulk Terminal, Petroleum Wharf, Apapa, New Oil Jetty, Atlas Cove Jetty and Bulk Oil Plant.
