25,000 civil servants have benefitted from CREDICORP — MD

No fewer than 25,000 Nigerian civil servants having benefitted from the recently established consumer credit scheme.

This development was revealed by the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the CREDICORP, Engr. Uzoma Nwagba.

The MD/CEO reassured Nigerians of President Bola Tinubu’s commitment to using the scheme to provide access to life-enhancing goods and services for the citizenry.

Engr. Nwagba gave the assurance during a working invitation by the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Didi Esther Walson-Jack, recognising the impact of CREDICORP in providing credit for life-enhancing goods and services to civil servants.

During the visit, Nwagba briefed the host about the activities of CREDICORP and also introduced the Corporation’s CALM Fund specifically targeting access to CNG conversions for vehicles and solar panels. 

He emphasised that civil servants are beneficiaries.

The CREDICORP boss expressed hope for his organisation’s continued and deeper engagements with the civil service in its efforts to ensure that no fewer than 400,000 civil servants have access to credit by the second quarter of 2025, even as the access to the general public has also commenced in earnest.
