2023: Gov. Sanwo-Olu at Students Mega Rally, promises Lagos will support students to achieve their life desired goals

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu said the “greater Lagos is rising” with the various rapid development and transformation in various sectors, including all facets of education in the State, promising that his administration will ensure that students achieve their life desired goals and dreams.

Sanwo-Olu made the declaration Friday in his goodwill message at the ruling All Progressives Congress APC Lagos Students’ Mega Rally, held at Onikan Stadium. 

The sign of greater Lagos is rising, Sanwo-Olu, stressed is evident in the increase in number of State’s higher institutions, transformation and infrastructural development in schools – from the tertiary up until secondary and primary levels.

Sanwo-Olu affirmed that Lagos was keen about the brighter future of her students, saying that this accounts for heavy investment the State is making on education at all levels.

Lagos, Governor Sanwo-Olu restated is investing heavily on education, and infrastructures, so as provide opportunity for students who desire to make fortunes in entertainment, creativity and other industries of their choice in future.

He said it was due to unrelenting efforts of the State government he was seeking students’ support in his re-election bid; asking them to vote Asiwaju Bola Tinubu as President and all APC candidates in the State, during the incoming general elections.

He thanked the students for participating in the rally, promising that their unflinching support to him and his party would not be taken for granted.

Sanwo-Olu who received the certificate of endorsement from the students’ Union leaders announced gift of buses to the students’ Union governments of various higher institutions in the State.

In his address, the President of the Lagos Students Association, Shasanya  kilani, thanked Governor Sanwo-Olu for increasing the State’s students’ bursary.

On his own, SUG President of Lagos State University of Education LASUED, Okechukwu Samuel thanked Sanwo-Olu for his open door policy, which he noted was evident in his election as the Students’ Union President.

 Kilani, Samuel and National Public Relations Officer and representative of the National President of the National Association of Nigerian Students’ NANS, Isa Giwa assured Sanwo-Olu and Asiwaju of students’ support during the incoming general polls.

The mega rally was massively attended by students of Lagos State University, LASU Ojo; Lagos State University of Science and Technology LASUSTECH; University of Lagos, Akoka, UNILAG; Lagos State University of Education, LASUED; Yaba College of Technology, YABATECH and Lagos State College of Health Technology LASCOHET.

Nice and Small Doctor entertained participants with their evergreen tracks.

The Mega Rally was attended by the Lagos APC Chairman, Cornelius Ojelabi,  top State government officials, including Deputy Governor, Dr Obafemi Kadiri Hamza, Commissioners and SAs.
