The Plateau State Governor, Dr. Jonah David Jang, has expressed joy over the peaceful conduct of delegates of the Peoples Democratic Party and the good people of Plateau State during the party’s primaries held in the state.
In a statement issued by his Director of Press and Publications, James Mannok, said the governor also congratulated all those who emerged victorious at the various PDP primaries held in the state.
Jang urged them to extend the olive branch to fellow contestants for the growth of the party.
According to Mannok, Governor Jang urged all aspirants that contested but lost to accept the outcome of the contests as the will of God and collectively work for the party as a family.
He appreciated the people for their support to the government.
Governor Jang added that the state government remains committed to a free and fair polls come 2015 general elections.
The governor also called on politicians to engage in politics of issues, ideas and ingenuity in order to add meaning to people’s lives.
He noted that democracy is the hallmark of development and urged all citizens of the state to come out en mass and participate in the forthcoming general elections.
