The world football governing body, FIFA, on Monday switched the venue of the World Cup African fifth-round qualifier between Libya and Togo, scheduled for Friday, from Benina, near Benghazi, to Tripoli.
FIFA cited the civil disturbances in Libya’s second largest city as reason for the switch.

Following the clashes, the Togolese team had protested to FIFA asking for a change of venue.
On Friday, Libya hosted DR Congo in a fourth-round match and the tie, which ended goalless, went off without any violence.
Libya, with more goals for, are on top of Group I of the qualifiers with six points, the same number of points as second-placed Cameroon.
DR Congo are third with five points and Togo, fourth with four points.
