No fewer than 20 persons have been reported killed as an explosion rang through a bus station in Gombe, Gombe State.
The explosion occurred late on Thursday evening.
The explosive was said to have been planted by a woman beside a bus scheduled to leave for Jos.
It went off at about 8:30pm.
The explosive was inside the woman’s bag.
No fewer than 15 other persons were injured.
Eyewitnesses accounts said the woman who planted the explosive left the scene before it went off.
She was said to have pretended she was going to board the bus, but wanted to buy something for a kiosk nearby.
She was nowhere to be found when the explosive went off.
The woman is believed to be an agent of the Boko Haram sect.
