Seventeen States and the Federal Capital Territory accounted for the 131 new cases of Coronavirus Disease recorded by Nigeria on Thursday.
This was disclosed by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control on its Twitter handle on Thursday.
According to the lead agency in the battle against the spread of the pandemic in the country, Lagos State accounted for 45 out of the 131 new cases.
It was followed by Kaduna and Plateau States with 17 new infections each and the FCT with 16.
Other states with new infections are Delta-6, Niger-6, Kwara-5, Oyo-3, Akwa Ibom-2, Cross River-2, Ekiti-2, Enugu-2, Osun-2, Sokoto-2, Bauchi-1, Ebonyi-1, Katsina-1 and Rivers-1.
In all as at the close of Thursday, Nigeria had recorded 56,735 confirmed cases, 48,092 discharged and 1,093 deaths.
