No fewer than 13 persons died in three road crashes across Nigeria on Saturday.
Eight of the victims died in a crash at Ihie 1, a town between Aba in Abia State and Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
They were six males and two females.
The accident involved a Mack truck and a L300 bus with registration number XY249 PHC.
Fifteen persons were also involved in a lone crash at Agidi Junction along the Awka-Onitsha Road on Saturday.
The accident occurred at 12:15pm.
The vehicle involved was a Mitsubishi L300 NEN 172 XA.
Ten persons were injured while two died.
The injured victims were taken to Regina Caeli Hospital, Awka, Anambra State.
A female child died in another accident in which 16 others were injured.
The crash involved a white Mitsubishi E200 Bus GNN353XA.
It occurred at 5:20pm at Oke-Igbo along the Ondo-Ife Road.
The victims were taken to Ondo General Hospital.
From Gombe comes a report that two female adult died in a lone crash while 11 were injured.
The crash involved a Toyota bus, with registration number DQ 996 FST.
It occurred at 4:20pm at Arawa, a village along Alkaleri-Gombe Road.
The victims were taken to Alkaleri General Hospital.
