At least 11 persons were burnt to death on Wednesday in an accident in Lagos State.
According to available information, the accident occurred in the Berger area of the State at about 7pm.
It was learnt that the 18 seater commercial bus was heading from Mushin towards Berger when the accident occurred.
Those burnt to death were eight men and three women.
Four of the bus passengers are said to be in the hospital.
The driver, however, escaped unhurt.
He immediately fled the scene of the accident.
The bus was said to have had a burst tyre, resulting in it somersaulting three times before going up in flames.
It took the intervention of the Lagos State Fire Service and policemen from Isheri/Berger to put off the fire and rescue the victims.
They also cleared the debris off the road and managed the traffic that resulted from the accident.
